Registering with RMA
In order to make our registration process easier and quicker and therefore allowing you to start your locum placement sooner, register online today!
The information provided is in strict confidence and will not be used for any other purpose in line with the 'Data Protection Act'.
The registration process includes completion of:
- The online registration form
- Returning the Registration Completion Form
- Returning the various documents listed below
You must return to us:
- A current and up to date CV
- A copy of your GMC Certificate
- Completed CRB Form *
- Completed Registration Completion Form
- Evidence of eligibility to work in the UK
- A current virology report
- A current copy of Immunity to Rubella and health records stating all immunity is up to date
- A Copy of passport for ID security purposes and NI number
- 2 passport size photographs for Identification badges
- Confirmation of membership to MDU/MPS
- Evidence of Professional Indemnity Insurance
- Next of Kin
- Emergency contact telephone number
- Confirmation that you have read the Terms and Conditions
* RMA will send you the Criminal Record Bureau form in the post, which must be completed and returned to us.

During a placement
Once a Doctor has been confirmed for a placement, our Medical Recruitment Consultants are dedicated to supplying you with all the information required for the locum, including:
- A security badge which must be worn at all times whilst working in the Trust
- The name of the person to whom you will be reporting and the name of the person you are covering
- Written confirmation of the date(s), time and details of the placement
- A timesheet must be completed and returned to Richmond Medical Agency as soon as a placement has been completed in order to ensure prompt payment
Once booked and confirmed, if a Doctor is unable to fulfil their obligation due to mitigating circumstances, it is vital that they inform Richmond Medical Agency as soon as possible to allow us to find a replacement. We offer a 24 hours service which will enable the Doctor to inform us of any queries, as soon as they arise.
Other relevant information
Revalidation and Appraisals:
Richmond Medical Agency is aware of the current changes in the legislation with regard to Doctor's Licensing and Revalidation.
It is RMA's intention to assist our Doctors in this process by issuing Evaluation Forms with every placement. These forms can be used by you towards your Appraisal and subsequent Revalidation. Therefore, the Evaluation Form should be completed by the supervising Consultant and a copy forwarded to us.
